Sean Howard Bell passed away too soon on Sunday February 28, 2021 at the age of 38. He was born in Norfolk to Willis "Bud" Bell and Angela Pietrucci Bell. Sean was a 2001 graduate of Hickory High School. Following graduation, he joined the United States Army and reported to boot camp. Sean was currently stationed at Fort Belvoir, Fairfax County, Virginia. Throughout his 20-year Army career, Sean held many positions and advanced to the rank of Master Sergeant. He received numerous awards and achieved the highest honors, most notably the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star.

In addition to his parents, Sean is survived by his wife, Nancy Martinez-Bell. Together they have a son, Angelo-Giovanni Howard Bell. Sean also has three bonus children, David Jaime (Kasey), Azuba Jaime, and SPC Andrew Martinez- Hidalgo (Rosa). Sean is also survived by a sister, Megan Capps, one nephew and three nieces; paternal grandfather, Willis Bell, 3rd (Joann); maternal grandfather, Mario Pietrucci (Debbie); many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Betty Windley; paternal grandmother, Mildred Jackson; his Nonnie, Charlotte T. Pietrucci, and his beloved Nana, Effie Bondurant.

Sean was a remarkable man and gave selflessly to his family and community. To know him was to love him.

Viewing will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Due to COVID restrictions temperature checks and masks are required to enter the building; guest will be limited to ten at any given time. A service to celebrate his life with military honors will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. George Davis officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in his memory at to support veteran's suicide prevention. We will always be grateful and cherish our lifelong friendships from Centerville Baptist youth group. There are not many memories of those days without Sean in them. He always brought lots of laughter to our group. We love you and pray for your family during this difficult time. Sean will be missed!
