Arlen Schroeder

Neenah - Arlen L. Schroeder, age 87, passed away on January 15, 2021. He was born June 16, 1933 in the Town of Clayton. He is the son of the late Harvey and Sadie (Breaker) Schroeder of Larsen, WI. He grew up in Larsen. He helped build the cold storage locker and grocery store in 1948. He worked there until he went in the Army in 1953. He married Diana M. Heinz on September 10, 1955. He worked for Marathon and American Company until 1995 and after that he drove for Bergstrom car dealership and Avis Rental Car until 2012.

Arlen enjoyed classic cars and his favorite was his 1964 Morris Mini Cooper. He loved going to car shows and talking to all the people. He was a handyman and always was willing to help people with projects. He always had a sense of humor even to the end. He enjoyed hanging out at McDonald's by the airport for coffee with all his driving buddies from Avis.

Arlen is survived by two daughters - Mary (Brian) Beiser, Cindy (Robert) Butke; a son, Eric (Tina) Schroeder all of Neenah. Seven grandchildren: Andy Beiser, Paul (Michelle) Beiser, Alex (fiancé Brittany) Beiser, Angela Butke, Spencer Butke, Kierstin Schroeder, and Carson Schroeder. Three great-grandchildren, Brody Beiser, Ava Beiser and Genevieve Beiser. Two brothers Gerald Schroeder, Neenah and Glen (Jennifer), Waupaca and sister-in-law Berdine, Neenah. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.

Arlen was preceded in death by his wife, Diana M. Schroeder; his parents; his brothers Donald, Berton and Russell, and a sister Marjorie Schroeder.

The family would like to thank the Ascension Hospice team (Lisa, Kara, Joy and Amy) in Neenah for all their support and compassion.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established for Ascension Hospice - Neenah.
