Richard, Pittsburgh is still here, even those of us who are spread far from home. It was never the place, it was the people, and your family -- home -- is still here. I miss him too.

Frankie, I can't begin to tell you how much I miss you. It has been over 9 months now, and I wake up everyday wondering where you are. I go to bed wondering how you are doing. I've never gotten over your leaving us on this earth. Yes, all we can do is pray your spirit lives on. When I close my eyes I cannot help but wonder where you are. I was asked what I wanted for Christmas and I said "you".
When I lost you, I lost Pittsburgh and everything about home. There is no home. Home was you.

Dear Ransom Family-I'm so sorry for your loss. I grew up with Frank and Richard. Frank was like a brother to me. I remember fun times at Lemington School, and the summers when Frank, Richard, and my brother Hosea, didn't want me to play with them, because I was a girl. I still laugh when I remember those times. Although, lots of time has passed, and I hadn't seen Frank much since high school, I'm sure he remained the quiet, calm and easy going man.
I will always remember the fun times we had growing up in the neighborhood!!
My thoughts and prayers are with you!!

Cousin, we all grew up in the same house, and we shared more than just the same last name. I always admired your grace and your kind words. This is much too much to take.

As we all sit around, cry, and wonder why
The angels are rejoicing because they have a new angel in the sky
I know we’ll see you again one day
All we can do now is keep the faith in God and pray
It is a very sad sad thing to hear
Now we have to stick together, it is fine to shed a few tears
I know that we are going to get through this together
We will all miss Mr. Frank forever
Mr. Frank was way more than a great man
He always held out his helping hand
He was just like a father to me
Now he is rejoicing with the angels because he is set free
He is now in peace and watching over us all
I am going to miss the way he screamed at the TV while watching basketball
It’s going to be hard to stay strong for my mom
Have to ask God for the strength to stay calm
Mom, everything is going to be alright
Time will heal all the pain and show you light
We will always miss you Mr. Frank
You are gone from our presence but NEVER EVER forgotten in our hearts
We love you Mr. Frank Ransom

I will always cherish the memories of our love
When we meshed together like two turtledoves
They are all woven in the tapestry of my mind
Where I recall & treasure all our wonderful times
I will always cherish the sweet love you left behind
Because it was so special, it was truly one of a kind
There is not a single day when I dont think of you
My only regret love is our days together were so few
I WILL LOVE YOU FOR ALL ETERNITY
Love always Kim,
(Dossie M.Terrell)
I love you & miss you Frank:-(

Dear Richard and family, when I think of Frank I remember back to my childhood days of Lemington grade school. Frank to me always had a very kind and gentle spirit which is a sign of strong character in a man.
May the Spirit of God comfort and strengthen you in your time of loss.
Sincerely,

A Change Of Address
Please be advised that I have recently moved from East Libery. You see, I received a visit from an angel of God informing me that my new home was complete. So on March 27, 2010, He told me that it was time to move in. He told me...Frank, go ahead and change my address. My new home is furnished and what a sight to behold! It is located in an exclusive estate area behind a pearly gate. Of course, the steets ae paved with gold and every day is Sunday. There is peace here along with joy, hapiness, no pain or crisis, strife o discontent, only sweet serenity. I can dine at the Master's table and listen to a heavenly choir, and best of all, my Heavenly Father is here in all His glory. I have my own fashon designer! He has fitted me with my very own white robe and my very own wings. I could go on and on about my new home, but instead, I am going to pray that you get here yourself one day. Before I go, let me give you my new addess.

He'll get in touch with me!
Rest In Peace, my friend! I will miss you.

Frank
Life is funny we all know that, but the smile of a beautiful person such as yours will live on forever. I am so thankful and blessed to have gotten to know you in the time we worked together. Thank you for your tenderness, your kindness and your gentle spirit. God only picks the best and believe me he sure picked a wonderful person for his angel. Long live your memories. Those of us who got to know you were truly blessed. To the Ransom family, thank you for sharing such a beautiful, kind, wonderful and generous person with us. He will not be forgotten. God makes no mistakes for he is the maker of ALL THINGS.

Everyone who worked with Frank Ransom loved him, I mean really LOVED him. He was a man among men, a stand up guy, a man of honor. I worked with Frank for 15 years and I never heard anyone say a bad word about him, ever! How rare is that? Frank and I were fellow Pitt fans. Wherever I was, when a Pitt game was over, I would think the same thing every time: 'I can't wait to talk with Frank about that game'. We would praise their victories and analyze their defeats! I will never get to do that again and I will miss our talks. Anyone who knew Frank knew that he loved food! When someone brought a snack into work Frank would ask "where's the meat?". For work parties he often volunteered to bring the wings, for him it wasn't a party without meat! When Frank was younger he had worked in restaurants around the city, some of them were Greek restaurants. Since we both knew about and liked Greek food we would talk about good places to get it. He was a pleasant man and knowledgeable about all things Pittsburgh. He didn't have children of his own but took an interest in other peoples kids. He was a family man and enjoyed vacations out of town to visit his relatives, afterwards he would talk about what a nice time he had. He doted on his little dog right up to it's very last day. He took his buddy for long walks and gave it insulin injections to keep it healthy, inside Frank was all heart. He treated his fellow workers like gold, too. When someone needed a ride to work he gave them a lift. I remember years ago when Frank gave money to a nurse who badly needed a haircut but didn't have the money for it. He did these small kindnesses for others quietly and without drawing attention to it. Simply put, Frank Ransom was a good guy. To know him was to love him, our world will never be the same without him.
With sincere admiration and deep sadness, Sonja Braun, co-worker.
