VINCENT SORTINO Obituary
Age 73, of Dormont, on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Beloved husband of Diane; dear father of Vincent M. (Kristin) Sortino and Dana Shinko; loving grandfather of Nina, Nicole (Eric) Davis, Brittany, Vincent Jr., Stephanie, and Alyssa Sortino, and Paula Shinko; great-grandfather of Kendra Safka; brother of Douglas and Ralph (Joyce) Sortino, and Betty Auretto. Vincent was the former owner of Sortino Restaurant and Lounge, located in Dormont. He was a U.S.M.C. veteran. Vincent was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather, and he will be dearly missed by all of his family. Friends welcome Thursday and Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church, Saturday, 11 a.m.

Vince you were such a good man I remember you allowing my father mother and I going to your place in deep creek you were always a great host my father had gallaher florist Inc. On West liberty Ave your food was always great potato pancakes veal sausage apple sauce and wonderful cocktails my grandpap c Paul also was your mate rest easy Vince a old friend and friends.

Dear Sortino Family,
Our deepest sympathy for the loss of Mr. Sortino. I have fond memories of being welcomed into to your home and taken on trips to Deep Creek. Vince was a fixture of every event I remember from my days at St. Bernard's. He always greeted me with a smile and hardy hand shake. My father and I wish you all peace and comfort.

Diane and family. I just found out about Vinces passing yesterday. My friend said he saw it in the Post Gazette. I get the Trib, and it wasn't in there. I lost your phone number so that's why I can't call you. I can't believe he is gone. It seems like it was only yesterday when we played together as kids. WE had many good times together. He was a good guy and good hearted. That's what I'll always remember about him. The good times. I'll always remember when he was there for me at my fathers passing, You were too. Hopefully we can get together soon. My condolances to you and the Sortino family.
