BRIAN VENEY Obituary
Of Seven Fields, born January 14, 1961, departed this earthly life on Friday, April 8, 2016. Beloved husband of Yolanda (Curry) Veney; son of Betty (Jefferson) Veney and the late Wilbur Veney, Jr.; loving father of Simone M. Veney, Ashley N. Veney; and stepson, William A. Briscoe; cherished grandfather of Zion and Zaebian; brother of Lisa Boykin (Fred) and Gilbert Veney (Michelle); also survived by many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. Visitations will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, 724-772-8800, and on Friday, April 15, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Macedonia Church of Pittsburgh, 2225 Bedford Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Funeral services will immediately follow. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. in Grandview Cemetery, 801 Millcreek Rd., Johnstown, PA 15905.

Dear Yolanda,
Praying for strength and the kind of comfort to you and the family that comes from Almighty God. God is in control and makes no mistakes. This world is not our home. Brian will truly be missed. In times as these, we can only trust in The Word that says he is now in the presence of the Lord.

Dear Yolanda, my thoughts are with you and William. Brian spoke so highly of the two of you. He was a great Boss to me at Midwest, always bringing reason and a sense of calmness to chaotic times. He had the greatest smile. I will miss him.
