MARIE FUTULES Obituary
MARIE (KASAPIS)
Age 91, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2018, with her family at her side. Mrs. Futules was born Jan. 17, 1926, to her parents, the late Anthony and Freda (Neimer) Kasapis and had been a lifelong member of our community. She owned and operated Futules Restaurant in Verona for many years before relocating and purchasing the former Harmar House in 1998. Besides cooking, she was also a fabulous seamstress and made all her own clothes. Marie also enjoyed her artwork but especially loved spending time with her family. Surviving her are sons, James (Maria) Futules of OH, William A. Futules of Verona, Nicholas W. (Michelle) Futules of Oakmont; six grand and eight great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her loving husband, William J. Futules and three brothers and a sister. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, January 16, 2018, from 4-8 p.m. in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1607 Pgh. St. Her Funeral service and church viewing will start at 10 a.m. Wednesday in The Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, Oakmont. Service at 11 a.m. with Fr. P. Rameas officiating. Burial will follow in Verona Cemetery next to her husband William.
