John M. Kramer (Jack), 88 of Kirkwood was released from his Earthly Life on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents Dorothy and Wilbur Kramer and brother-in-law George Babcock. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Tillie (Fotorny)Kramer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara (Chris) Penatzer of Vestal, Carol (Michael) Semonco of Binghamton; two grandchildren Brian and Rachel Semonco of Binghamton; sister-in-law Margaret Babcock; nieces Kathleen (Jeff) Jones and Karen Babcock; and great nieces Heather and Hannah Jones. John was a WWII veteran serving aboard the USS Memphis. John retired from Chesapeake Corp after many years of service. He was a Life Member of the VFW 6625 Kirkwood and St. Mary's Church, Kirkwood. John enjoyed bowling, golf and watching TV Land. The family wishes to thank the staff of Susquehanna Nursing and Rehab for their care of him. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary's Church of Kirkwood with Rev. Robert Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the THOMAS J. SHEA FUNERAL HOME, INC. 137 Robinson St. Binghamton from 4 until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in John's memory to Mother Teresa's Cupboard, c/o St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Ave. Endicott, NY 13760 or St. Mary's Church of Kirkwood, 975 US Route 11, Kirkwood, NY 13795.
