Shirley (Rolston) Cipolla Obituary
Cipolla, Shirley (Rolston)

On February 5, 2014, Shirley walked to heaven through the beautiful falling snow. She was a devoted Wife of 56 years to Dominic Cipolla Jr; a loving Mother to Dee & (Morris) Lasky, April Matzo, Joe & (Regina) Cipolla, and Nicole & (Keith) Kilmer; a doting Grandmother to Shannon & Aimee Matzo, Joey & Dominique Cipolla and Christian, Sophie & Charlie Kilmer. They always brought a smile to her face and love and laughter to her heart. Shirley is survived by her siblings, George, Max, Jean, Bob, Pat, Raymond; and brother in law, Rudy. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley & Bertha (Dean) Rolston; and sisters, Lee, Ruthie, Bev and Gert; also a dear friend, Mildred Nesbitt. Shirley was one of 11 children and loved being surrounded by her family & friends. She was always on the go...out visiting others, delivering Avon, shopping for bargains, taking a drive up to the farm, enjoying a camping trip, or eating Maple Walnut ice cream at Pop's Sugar Shack. She was always willing to lend a helping hand whether it be for family, friends, a neighbor or even a stranger. She extended her love and kindness to many especially to two wonderful young ladies, Gabby Xlander and Christina Tucci. Shirley was also a lifetime member of VFW Post 478. The family would like to thank the staff at Wilson Hospitals ICU and North Tower 4 for their compassion and wonderful care. A memorial service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at the Conklin Forks United Methodist Church, Binghamton NY at 11AM February 15. Arrangements are by AEGIS CREMATION & FUNERAL SERVICES 196 CLINTON STREET BINGHAMTON.
