So sorry to read of John's death. Hardly knew him but knew his dear Mother Lucille who was always warm and kind to me when attending UNR. Not at all surprised to read of his kindness and decency. Wish I could have known him and his family of boys. Hugs and kisses to Lucille when you join her on the other side, in your eternal bliss. Paul

Dear Rose family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Every time I visited to ride horses I was greeted with Johnny's big smile and a How's Terry. Even as he was faced with horrific health issue he was more concerned with how I was.
His true spirit of generosity however really surfaced when I visited him at South Meadows Hospital. He was struggling to keep his leg and having been an ICU nurse myself, I asked if I could share his story and pictures with my daughter and her friends who were then nursing students at UNR. I wanted them to understand what can happen to patients once they leave the ICU. I was actually embarrassed to ask but he was so gracious and willing to let others learn from his horrific experience. Thank you Johnny. My years of visiting Rose Arabians are packed with beautiful memories of Johnny and Linda. Johnny worked very hard to make sure I had what I needed so I could enjoy riding. You will not be forgotten Johnny Rose. God bless Linda and all the Rose family in their time of mourning.

JJ & Family, my condolences to you. I was saddened to hear of your loss and will pray for you all. Although I did not have the pleasure of meeting him, he truly sounds Wonderful! In time, though a loss now, you'll know that you've gained something extra special...a basqueo angel!! I know, because I have one of my own. ❤

Dear Rose family,
Suzi and I are so sad to hear of John's passing.
It doesn't seem very long ago that we were neighbors in Huffaker Hills. We were young, naïve, and full of optimism. You and John were great neighbors and a lot of fun. The 4 Rose boys were full of energy and always moving. I can't remember anyone funnier than John telling hunting and fishing stories, especially those involving Bernie Crooks. It saddens me to know that John's wit has been silenced. He was a truly great story teller and a really good man.

Sorry to learn of John s passing...I remember the days we worked together in the United Airlines baggage check in area(which was known as the Rose Room). He was always helpful and courteous in reaching me had to separate the 1s and 4s from the 2s and 3s for proper loading of bags for the flights.
He loved helping Linda with the horses and talked about the attending the Horse Shows. He was very proud of her and how she handled the horses.
He will be missed by all who loved him and by those who shared is friendship.

The best day I had with John was a pheasant hunt. He was a great shot and loved shooting the big red bird. Each time he shot one the smile was ear to ear.
