Adele Marie Indiano Kidman

June 6, 1925 - July 15, 2020

Adele Marie Kidman was born in Eureka, Nevada on June 6, 1925 to Michel Indiano and Jeanne Marie Etchebarran Indiano. Both her parents immigrated from France and settled in Minden. She spent many happy years growing up on the ranch with her brother, John Indiano and her sister Alice Indiano Dangberg. Adele was very proud of her basque heritage.

Adele went to Douglas High School where she was very active. She was a school majorette, the lead in school plays, and student government class secretary. She eventually went to business college and worked as a secretary for the head of Soil Conversation for Nevada.

When the war ended, she met a returning Air Force airman, Richard Kidman. They married and had 3 daughters, Leah Kidman Fay, Karen Kidman Stokes, and Carla Kidman Ziegler. When Richard Kidman retired from the Air Force, they moved back to Nevada and settled in Reno.

Adele volunteered at Washoe Med for over 27 years, holding babies, delivering flowers, and helping out wherever they needed her. She line danced, had a vegetable garden and played bridge. She had a very active life right up to her passing. She celebrated family reunions every year with her daughters and their husbands and her 6 grandchildren, Lindsey and Brennan Fay, Sarah and Daniel Stokes, and Drew and Caleb Ziegler.

Adele's life was celebrated on July 18, 2020, and all her family members were there! The service was filled with scripture, a time of sharing memories, and song. Adele was a faithful Catholic and believed these words, "Truly truly, I say to you, whoever believes -- has eternal life." John 6: 47
