Calvin Huie Obituary

HUIE, Calvin - Died peacefully on December 11, at the age of 81, with his wife and two of his children by his side. Born on February 14, 1924 in Butte, MT, he was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, proudly serving in the 407th Air Service Squadron of the Fourteenth Air Force known as the "Flying Tigers." He made his home and raised his family in Alameda where he worked at the Naval Air Station before retiring after more than 40 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Alice; his nine children: Susan, Sam, Amy, Audrey, David, Deanna, Carole, Cathy and Pamela; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was the 12th of 13 children, and leaves behind five brothers: Frank, Wah, Theron, Charles and George. Private services celebrating his life will be held in Alameda on December 27. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
