Dear Narada,
A Tele-Care volunteer saw the notice about Betsy in the paper and e-mailed the news to me. A remarkable woman, we had long, roving conversations over the many years of our connection: baseball (of course), along with women's rights and her writing; children and education (I homeschooled my daughter); voting and art and, naturally, dogs. I walked Greta occasionally, commiserated when she had to move and together laughed a lot about the human condition. Her enthusiasms, beefs, energy and humour brought colour to my life and I am grateful. I shall treasure my copies of her stories and my memories of her. Sabra (previously of Tele-Care)

When my father visited the Point at Rockridge in 2017 we met Betsy in the back patio while she let Greta enjoy the yard. She was just so darling, I knew my father would enjoy each other, and they quickly became friends. My dad, Louis, has lost his best friend there and is devastated. She was truly a gem and I am so sorry for your loss.
