Kieffer, Robert Paul 1944-2013; fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Beloved husband of Brenda (nee Melton) Kieffer. Loving father of Melanie (Nathan) Ziebatree, Todd (Sunny) Kieffer, Paul Kieffer, Meagan Kieffer and Jordan (Amanda) Kingston. Loving grandfather of Raine, Isaiah, Gavrielle, Samson, Madalyn and Emelia. Dear brother of Thomas (Carol) Kieffer and the late Richard Kieffer, Barbara (Anthony) Miceli and Ellen Kieffer. Former husband of Mary Jane (nee Hamacher) Kieffer. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin & friend. Bob graduated from St. Louis University, class of 1966. He went on to serve in the United States Army as 1st Lt. during the Viet Nam War. Bob had a lifetime commitment supporting homeless veterans and was honored at the White House by President Ronald Reagan. He was financial planner and partner in St. Louis Financial Planners, Inc. for 25 years. His passion for fine arts, history, poetry & literacy, inspired him to support the education of persons with literacy problems. Bob will be remembered for his great sense of humor and understanding of people. He was in the process of writing a book about families based on his experiences growing up on Flora Place. Services: Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m.,Thursday, August 8, 2013 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 7530 Natural Bridge Rd., Normandy, MO 63121. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at O'SULLIVAN-MUCKLE MORTUARY, 13996 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield, MO 63017. Visitation will conclude with a prayer service led by Pastor Paul Scheperle at 7:30 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral Mass at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warriors or Life Stream Church Fine Arts program preferred.
