Margarita Perez Obituary
Known to many as "Margarita La Chaparrita", our beloved mother passed away peacefully after a short illness on April 23, 2016. Margarita enjoyed performing with her "conjunto" at the Royal Palace for the Senior Citizens Dance where she made many friends on the South Side of San Antonio. She is preceded in death by her husband, SGT. Julio Perez, whom she called "the love of her life." Also preceding Margarita in death were parents, Isabel and Santos Montoya, sister,Santa Garcia, grandson, Enrique Flores Jr. &
grandparents. She is survived by all her six children (and their families), Judy Padron, Julia Flores, Jesusa Flores, Juan Flores, Diana Benavides-Arredondo &
Jose Patlan. Survivors
also include many grandchildren,great grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins
Margarita will be laid to rest with her husband, Julio at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on May 4th, 2016. Visitation will be held at San Antonio Mortuary on 703 Palo Alto Rd. on Tuesday, May 3rd from 4:30- 8:30pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm. On Wednesday May 4th visitation will be held from 8:00-10:45am with interment to follow at 11:30am at Fort
Sam Houston National Cemetery.
