Arthur William David Wicks Obituary
Arthur William David Wicks

Arthur William David Wicks, professor, poet, and author died at the age of 69 on Sunday, November 10 in the place of his birth Seattle, WA. He was surrounded by his four children Kilian, Chloe, Ezra, Aeron and loving family. He left this world to join his mother Margaret, his father Arthur and his beloved brother Tommy. He attended St. Joseph's School and Seattle Preparatory High School before studying at the University of Washington and Oxford, where he developed a love for travel that he shared with his children and students at Olympic College. As a teacher he had a passionate feeling for language, film, music and culture, which was "sharpened and intensified by an acute destructive judgement" and all souls led through "the furnace of his imagination" were bettered and wanting more. Arthur's grandness was elevated by his clogs and his booming voice, which rang out in the most brilliant manner "Be-Bop-a-Lula." His liberal habits and a strong belief that all love is equal will be celebrated on his 70th birthday party on December 28th.
