Patricia C. Cook, 75, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday evening, August 6, 2014 at Countryside Manor where she had been residing for the past six years.

Born December 25, 1938 in Sheboygan, Patricia was the only child of Elmer and Gloria Hoelle Hoehnke. She attended area schools and graduated from Central High School. She then continued her education at the Sheboygan County Teachers College. She was married to Gene Horn in Sheboygan who preceded her in death. On December 26, 1967, she was united in marriage to Kenneth R. Cook in Sheboygan. They were married for 25 years before Ken preceded her in death on August 1, 1993.

Pat and Ken owned and operated Cook's Corner Restaurant and Tavern from 1975 until they retired in 1993. Prior to her marriage, she worked for the telephone company. She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the St. Nicholas Hospital Auxiliary where she served as president. She and Ken were also members of the Sheboygan Tavern League. She enjoyed golfing and bowling at the Sheboygan Elk's Club. She had a love of music and played the clarinet, and was also a semiprofessional partners roller skater, having won many competitions. She was a kind and gentle woman who loved the holidays, always making sure to cook and bake many dinner courses for her family.

She is survived by her three children, Timothy (Peggy) Cook, Sheboygan, Cynthia (Arnold) Sdano, Overland Park, KS, and Mary (Tom) Sommersberger, Sheboygan; seven grandchildren, Andrea (Greg) Myrick, Rochester Hills, MI, Adrian (April) Sdano, The Colony, TX, Greg (Carrie) Sommersberger, Grafton, Brian (Meggan) Sommersberger, Sheboygan, Cassidy Cook, Sheboygan, Patrick (Amanda) Berg, Sheboygan and Holly Berg, Sheboygan; six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Gene and Ken.

Funeral services for Patricia will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014, at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Philip D. Reifenburg will officiate. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Countryside Manor for all of their loving care and support.
