partroyfuneralhome.com. Born on July 18, 1917, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Louise and Floran Spansail, June was raised in Pomona, Calif., and had lived in Parsippany for the past 64 years. She was a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she obtained her bachelor's degree and then she earned her master's degree in social work from New York University. June taught elementary school in Burbank, Calif.; Orange, N.J., and for over 25 years in Livingston, N.J. After her retirement, she and her husband traveled extensively in Europe for many years. June loved to sew and arrange flowers. She was a past member of the Par-Troy Flower Club and the American Association of University Women (AAUW) of Mountain Lakes. June was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Malcolm W., on May 23, 2013; her brother, Jack; and her sister-in-law, Romaine. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Gallagher and her husband, Neil, of New Providence, N.J., and by her two cherished grandchildren, Matthew and Timothy and his wife, Layla.
