BAILEY, Carla Armorgan

Carla Armorgan Bailey, 37, of Poughkeepsie, NY, died Monday, November 11, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad on August 17, 1976, she was the daughter of Carlisle and Angela Ellis Armorgan. Carla earned her Bachelor's Degree from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL and holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. On May 6, 2002, in Napa, California, Carla married Todd C. Bailey. Carla was employed at IBM in Fishkill from 2003-2012, most recently as Project Manager.

Carla was the devoted wife of Todd Bailey of Poughkeepsie; loving mother of Spencer Bailey of Poughkeepsie; dear daughter of Carlisle and Angela Armorgan of Trinidad; sister of Karen (Ian) Alleyne and Michael (Nicole) and Stephen Armorgan, all of Trinidad; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carla also leaves behind an extended family who adored her and many dear friends and colleagues.

Visitation will be Friday, November 15 from 5-8 pm at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, November 16 at 9:30 am from St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Rd., Poughkeepsie. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
