Carroll Lynn Hestand Obituary
Carroll Lynn Hestand Carroll Lynn Hestand was called home to his Father's arms on July 18, 2013 after a long illness. He fought long and hard, and we are so sad to see him go but so glad to see him set free. He was born in Agua Dulce, Texas to Ed and Marie Hestand. He attended High School there till 10th grade but graduated from Robstown High School where he received a football scholarship to the University of Texas. He was baptized into Christ and served as a deacon at the Niagra Baldwin Church of Christ in Corpus Christi, Texas. He worked in the oil fields, Reynolds Metal Co. and then became active in the insurance business in 1960. He later opened his own successful business in Round Rock. He was UT all the way and was a member of the Southwest Football and Baseball Officials Association for many years. He was also a member of Austin Claims Association, served on the Point Venture Board of Directors and Architectural Control Committee, and was a President of the HOA for "The Woods" in Round Rock. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Nelda, his brother Don, his children, Cindy Carroll, Renee Stewart and Carrie Bravo; grandchildren, Konie Carroll, Kim Schaefer, Stephen Sheriff and Amanda Sheriff and great grandson, Dylan Peteete. Carroll also had a great deal of extended family and friends that will remember his hearty laugh and think of him often. He has been reunited in heaven with his son, Randy, his brother Bill, and his beloved mother and father. There will be a tailgate party in heaven and he will be waiting. Visitation will be held in Beck Funeral Home Pflugerville Texas on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. Funeral will be on Sunday, July 21, 2013 in Beck Funeral Home Pflugerville, Texas at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Capital Memorial Parks.
