Michael Brennick Obituary
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Eleanor Brennick, his brother Richard and his wife Gayle of Ky., sister Stella Breidenbach and husband Andy of PA, his son Michael J. Brennick of Ardmore, PA and daughter Michele Kripps of Waterford, Conn. His grandaughters include: Tiffany Saunders and husband Lee of Quaker Hill, Conn., and Samantha Zweir of Niantic, Conn. Seven great-grandchildren include: Julian, Lucas and Tallulah (Saunders), and Isabel, Phoebe, Stevie and Elodie (Zweir).
Joe graduated from Oswego State Teacher's College in 1948 where he met and married his life-long love, Mary Eleanor Maloney (both teachers) in 1950. Joe taught Industrial Arts in the Larchmont-Mamaroneck School System until his retirement in 1992.
Since retirement, Joe and Mary (El) were snowbirds and have enjoyed winters in Fernandina Beach, Fla. and "life on the river" at their home in Waterford, Conn. Children and education ran throughout his life as he and El ran a summer swim camp and an aclaimed after-school woodworking shop for grade-schoolers in Larchmont, N.Y. They continued their love of children with weekly summer "play-dates" from grandchildren and friends at their riverfront home in Waterford Connecticut.
The Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic assisted the family with the private arrangements.

Mr. Brennick was a teacher of mine in Mamaroneck H.S. Took electronics class with him. I learned a lot. He was a great teacher, very patient, very smart, and very knowledgeable. I actually had the opportunity to get to know him better as I ended up working for him after school mowing grass and painting outside and inside of houses he owned and rented out in Larchmont. I just happened to see this obituary. Its 2003. I am saddened to learn of his passing. Hope Eleanor, Mrs Brennick is doing well. She was always so sweet. One of the nicest most welcoming couples I've ever met.

I was so saddened to hear about the loss of Mr.Brennick who was our good neighbor growing up on Murray Avenue in Larchmont,N.Y. He had a great love of students and had a big impact on their years at Mamaroneck.
Sending prayers, love, and sympathy to Ellie and the rest of the Brennick family.
