Memorial services for Mr. Orlando Nicholas "Nick" Hamilton, Jr., age 85 an attorney of Oak Grove, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove, Louisiana.

Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

Mr. Hamilton passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at West Carroll Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Hamilton was a longtime resident of Oak Grove. He started practicing law in Oak Grove in 1954. He practiced law for sixty-one years. He was a graduate of Lake Providence High School, Louisiana State University Law School and Judge Advocate School University of Virginia. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He served as President of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association. He was a member of the Louisiana State Disiplinary Board.

He is preceded in death by his father, Orlando Nicholas Hamilton, Sr.; his mother, Bessie Mae Herring Hamilton and his grandson, Lee Hamilton Deal.

Nick is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Charlotte Martin Hamilton of Oak Grove, Louisiana; daughter, Melanie Deal of Monroe, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Nan and Paul Hopkins of Lake Providence, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Sherry Hamilton of Oak Grove; granddaughter, Krisy Mounts of Calhoun, Louisiana; grandson, Logan Hamilton of Niles, Michigan; grandson, Justin Deal of Denver, Colorado; grandson, Nicholas Hopkins of Lake Providence; granddaughter, Mary Campbell of Little Rock, Arkansas; great grandson, Paxton Mounts of Calhoun; great granddaughter, Paisley Mounts of Calhoun; great grandson, Noah Allen of Monroe, Louisiana and a brother-in-law, Jim Martin of Benton, Arkansas.
