Schmitz, Theresa F.

Theresa F. Schmitz "Our Angel" went to join her father and brother in Heaven on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the age of 25.

She was born on June 26, 1987, to Richard and Janet (nee Smith) Schmitz. Theresa graduated from West Bend West High School in the class of 2005. She went on to earn her BA in Accounting, Business Law, and Human Resources from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2010. Theresa was employed at Pick-N-Save in West Bend and Oshkosh for many years during high school and college. She was currently employed at Feucht Financial in Fond du Lac.

Theresa enjoyed volunteering with Special Olympics and Rotary. She also enjoyed traveling with her best friend, Matt; recently returning from a trip to Europe. She loved spending time with her "baby" a miniature schnauzer named, Sophie.

Theresa was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Janet Schmitz of West Bend; special friend, Matt Sullivan; her sponsor, Alred Schmitz; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Richard Schmitz; brother, Michael Schmitz; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Frances Schmitz; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Anna Smith; and her sponsor, Grace Schmitz.

A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Theresa will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at noon at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1610 Monroe Street, West Bend. Visitation will be at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to your local Humane Society in Theresa's name are appreciated by the family.
