ANTRIM - Fernando "Nandy" Barsanti of Anrtim passed away peacefully on July 30, 2013, with many family members surrounding him in love. He was born on Feb. 1, 1927, and grew up in Wakefield, Mass. He served in the Navy in World War II and attended Boston College where he played football (Class '52). In Boston, he met Mary Sullivan, the love of his life, and they married in 1950. As an engineer, Nandy designed aircraft for Boeing in Seattle and finished his career as engineering manager for many years at GTE Sylvania's Manchester lighting division. He proudly raised six children and adored all of his grandchildren. He lived strong his entire life with a joyful spirit and a kind heart, awaking every morning with a song on his lips. Everyone who knew Nandy loved him. He will be sorely missed.
