RAYMOND - John M. McCarthy, 72, died suddenly on April 29, 2014, at the Elliott Hospital, Manchester, after a brief illness.He was born May 11, 1941, in Arlington, Mass., son of the late John and Mary Elizabeth (Ryan) McCarthy.John grew up in Arlington, Mass., and was a graduate of Arlington High School. He served in the Army National Guard from 1960-1966. John was an engineer for 43 years at Raytheon and retired in 2002.He was an avid sports fan. His favorite sports team was the Boston Bruins. John had played hockey in high school and later on a men's league team. John and his wife loved their winters in Florida by the ocean.He is survived by his wife, Claudette Duggan McCarthy, his daughter, Corinne McCarthy Brisbois, his son-in-law, Robert Brisbois Sr., son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Stephanie McCarthy, son Michael McCarthy, four grandchildren, Jessica Parks Brisbois, Robert Brisbois Jr., Mason McCarthy and Siena McCarthy, three stepchildren, Patricia Companion and her husband, Scott, Deborah Duggan, William Duggan and his wife, Andrea, two stepgrandchildren, Nicole Companion and Scott Companion.


SERVICES: There are no calling hours.A memorial Mass will be celebrated on May 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 200 Pleasant St., Epping. Military honors will follow at the church.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
