Denis Edward Reen, age 64, second generation, Company of Military Historians, who modeled for Frederick E. Hart's "Three Service Men" statue, died March 24, 2013, surrounded by his wife and children at his home at the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain. He had Lung Cancer. He was married to Kathleen McConville for 42 years and is survived by his wife and five children Ann Massey, Thomas, Jeremiah, Elizabeth Whidbee and Matthew Reen and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 2 at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 4103 Prices Distillery Road, Ijamsville, MD 21754. Officiating will be Father Michael J. Jendrek. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at:
