Enjoyed and appreciated his instruction at Howard University College of Fine Arts! Gave me a fit in Counterpoint class, but I learned sooo much! Fondly remembered...

To the Winfield family: May God comfort you at this time and may you have fond memories of Dr. Winfield, as I do when he was the organist and choir director at St. Francis Xavier Church in SE, Washington years ago. His music and gifted organ playing will live forever in my heart. He had a lovely smile and was a very nice person. I was pleasantly surprised when he came to my father's wake at Holy Redeemer Church in 2010. May Dr. Winfield rest in Peace. May God bless you all.

When he was alive, he NEVER referred to me as his "step daughter." I was his daughter. And my name is Allison Winfield Kalloo.

My condolences to the family. Dr. Winfield was one of my favorite professors. Such a kind, warm man who challenged my musicianship at every turn! Rest in peace, dear sir. You touched so many lives and trained so many musicians. I thank you for what you did for me!
