Fern Damien Baguidy, JR. (Age 58)
On Friday, July 12, 2019, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved son of the late Fern Baguidy, Sr. and Lucille Young Baguidy; brother of Maryse Horblitt (Stephen), Elsie Baguidy and Jean-Robert Baguidy. Also survived by his loving cousins. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Friday, July 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 805 Wayne Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Saturday, July 20, at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. My deepest condolences to Fern's family. I met Fern during my freshman year at Spelman College.I could always count on Fern to make me laugh,lift my spirits when I was feeling down and demonstrate the qualities of a true gentleman. Though I have not seen or spoken to Fern in many years, I am deeply saddened I was unable to attend his funeral service. God Bless.

My deepest condolences to Fern's entire family. Our family was so saddened to hear of Fern's passing. We will always remember him fondly- such a gentle spirit. Summer parties at the Bernard house would not have been the same without the Baguity brothers. Great times. Great memories. Always. Rest In Peace Fern.

My deepest sympathy to Fern's family. We met Freshmen year at Morehouse, before he transferred to Howard. He was one of the kindest, coolest and classiest brothers in the class. Again, my prayers are with his family for this tremendous loss.

There is another angel in heaven. My condolences to Ferns family. I have many fond memories from high school years (growing up in the DMV) and at HU of Fern. He always greeted me with a big hug whenever I saw him. Although I moved away from the DC area 30 years ago, it just shows how you never forget people who were kind to you. RIP Fern.

Fern was one of the friendliest, funniest, & smoothest people that I knew. I never heard him say one cross word about anyone, most likely because he liked everyone & everyone liked him. I'm gonna miss you brother. Prayers of comfort to the family.

Thank you for helping me become the man I am today. I will truly miss you. All of the days on the volleyball courts, and on the dance floors after. Being able to catch a glimpse of you in "National Treasure." There are so many great memories of you, which is a testament to how amazing you were. I will always remember Fern as a gentle giant who gave so much of himself to help, guide and support others, and did so with love & laughter. I am blessed to have had Fern as a shining light in my circle of forever friends. We shared the beautiful blessing as the Godparents of my first born niece. We have lost an amazing man and friend! It came as a shock to hear of Fern's passing today. My world is a little darker realizing I won't hear his deep rumbling laugh or be reassured by the shake of his big warm hand again. Fern was a huge presence, with a flash of his enormously infectious smile and his wonderful personality, which had the power to lift my day. My life was better for have known Fern in those early days of Bell Atlantic Mobile. Although I fell out of touch with him in recent years he has always been in my heart and not far from my mind. My heart goes out to his mom, JR and his entire family at such a sad and difficult time. With love.

I met Ti Fern & JR when I was ten years old shortly after my cousins moved next door on Morningside Drive, Shepherd Park DC. No two brothers were more in sync, very much like twins. Their closeness, their brotherly love was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing them and seeing them together. When I think of Fern, I think of JR. God bless you and grant you peace.
