On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, of Takoma Park, MD. Beloved wife of Sheldon J. Salter; mother of Jean Scott Adams (Louis) and Vincent R. Scott; sister of John Coleman, Anthony Coleman and Catherine Laird. Also survived by her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren and personal family friend Casandra Cisse. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, 20901 (Valet Parking), Sunday, October 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial Mass at St. Bernadette's Church, 72 University Blvd. East, Silver Spring, MD, 20901 on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Interment private. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Deepest sympathy on the loss of beloved Rita. I was saddened to learn too late of her passing from the senior center to attend services. She enjoyed ceramics for many years and together with Sheldon, was the hostess with the mostest. She filled the showcase with many award ribbons. Thanks for the care and consideration of others throughout the years. Heaven has a new angel. May the family feel the comfort of friends, the love of family, and the peace of God.
