Steve and I have been friends for several years through our shared love of cars both old and new. I enjoyed hearing his stories - such as those about Steve driving his father's Duesenberg. For a while, we both drove the same car, a BMW M3, and we would often discuss it. He once told me that he had that M3 going over 150 mph at a airplane landing strip after they had warned him not to exceed 150 -- so they told him to leave. I will miss his good humor, friendship, and charm. My deepest condolences go out Steve's loved ones.

Steve's pride and joy this past August at the All GM Show in Rockville, MD.

Steve belonged to our Capitol City Rockets Oldsmobile club for a long time. I believe he was the first club member I interviewed for the newsletter way back when he was in the middle of restoring his 1953 Olds Super 88, which won him many awards and a whole lot of admiration from the car guys. Steve was a super guy, always friendly and so full of life and love. He will be greatly missed by his Olds club buddies.

Several years ago Steve and my wife and I were invited to bring our cars to the Headquarters Building of the Department of Transportation to be part of their 65th Birthday Celebration and to celebrate their move to their new building in Southeast DC near the Nationals ballpark. We spent the day sharing car stories. Steve and my wife both worked for the Federal Government and they had many stories to share. We had a fun day and we will never forget Steve's friendship, humor and his love for antique cars.

Steve was a great friend when we lived in VA from 1978 to 1995. I was planning to visit this Sprong on my way North. The Ferrari club was a great experience for me
