RICHARD GRAHAM Obituary
RICHARD A. GRAHAM, SR.
On June 27, 2013, Richard A. Graham, Sr. of Chevy Chase, MD passed away from cancer at age 67. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Linda Graham, three children: Lisa McCormack, Richard A. Graham, Jr., and Scott A. Graham, and six adoring grandchildren. Rich had an infectious smile and a generous heart, and valued his time with his family above all. He led a distinguished career as an attorney with the federal government among various agencies including the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, and served as an Army officer during the Vietnam era. He was an avid golfer at Congressional Country Club, amateur artist, youth soccer coach, and frustrated Redskins fan. His life will be celebrated at a memorial service at The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 3630 Quesada St. NW, Washington, DC 20015 on Monday, July 8 at 11 a.m. in the main church. Inurnment will occur at a future date at the Columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Food & Friends.

This time of year, all the guys talking about golf, remind me of Rich. Looking back, I regret I let life's demands and distractions keep me apart from Rich and Linda after Rich and I had both retired. I miss him now. It would be so great to be looking forward to a golf game with him this weekend.

My condolences to all Richard's family. A good man, a college room-mate and a friend. Memories of him will soften the loss, but only time will heal the grief. We'll all miss him.
