Etta J. Pittenger
December 4, 1921 - January 16, 2017
Etta J. (Miller) Pittenger, 95, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017, at Manor Care North. She was the wife of Allen J. Pittenger, who died in December 2001.
Mrs. Pittenger was born in Hanover, Sunday, December 4, 1921, daughter of the late Irvin W. and Jennie E. (Stambaugh) Miller.
She was employed by DENTSPLY International as a carter and inspector, retiring in 1984 after 39 years of service.
She was a life member of Paradise Holtzschwamm United Church of Christ, Thomasville and the Lady's Guild, 25 Year Club and Girls Club of DENTSPLY.
She is survived by numerous step children and step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary A. Becker and Betty M. Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two step sons; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be 12 noon, Friday, January 20, 2017, at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh.) Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Paul Guiliano. Final resting place will be in Mount Rose Cemetery, York. There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the service at the funeral home.
