Betty J. (Kestner) Miller, 89, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at The Gardens At West Shore in Camp Hill.
Mrs. Miller was born in York on Monday, June 25, 1928, daughter of the late Louis W. and Ruth R. (Jenkins) Kestner.
Betty was a graduate of York High, Class of 1946. She was employed as a clerk by the former Hamilton Bank and York Federal Savings and Loan. In addition, she worked at York City Hall within the Tax Claim Bureau.
She was a former member of Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren, York and attended Mechanicsburg Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include, two children, Cheryl A. Rowlands and her husband, David W. of FL and Robert C. Schwenk and his wife, Anita B. of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren, Jennifer Lawhorn and Christopher Schwenk both of York; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Schwenk Jr. and Amber Schwenk both of York; husband, Earl E. Miller Jr. of York; four step-children, Charles Koble and his wife, Julie of Dover, Philip Koble and his wife, E. Jane of York, Russell Miller of York and Karen Leonard of Germany; two step-grandchildren, Rebecca and Benjamin Koble; and a sister, Barbara McCleaf of NJ. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Robert C, Schwenk, Edward F. Smith and Charles W. Koble; a daughter, Linda D. Schwenk; two siblings, Ronald Kestner and Beverly Miller.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). Officiating will be Pastor Robert Godfrey. There will be a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
