William A. Aldinger Jr.
December 20, 1939 - December 23, 2017
William A. "Bill" Aldinger, Jr, 78, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the York Hospital. He was the husband of Joanne M. (Ness) Aldinger with whom he celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on August the 4th.
Mr. Aldinger was born in York on December 20, 1939, son of the late William A. and Minnie I. (Wallace) Aldinger Sr.
As a young man, Bill worked for 10 years on a farm in Sinking Springs, prior to entering the U.S. Army. He was than employed as a truck driver for the former Cor-Box for 37 years.
He attended Fourth United Methodist Church, York.
In addition to his wife, survivors include, two sons, Mark A. Aldinger and his wife, Michelle and Michael E. Aldinger and his wife, Erin, all of York; two grandchildren, Logan M. and Morgan M. Aldinger; and two sisters, Patsy D. Ware and Wilma P. Reinier, both of York. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Helen I. Smith and Daniel A. Aldinger.
There will be a viewing Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). Friday, December 29, 2017 a viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Officiating will be Chris Catalano. Final resting place will be in Dover Bethany Methodist Church Cemetery, Dover, with full military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
