Goeres, Ross Paul
Major Ross Paul Goeres, USAF (Ret.), 60, passed peacefully Nov. 10, 2016 after a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer over the last 4+ years and 74 chemo treatments. He was the penultimate son of John and Laurentina Goeres and often called himself "#4".

Ross was often known as, "the engineer's engineer" for his devotion to science & reason.
Ross' parents, brother Chuck, and sister-in-law Goergene preceded him in death. He is survived by his former wife, Dr. Mindy Connolly, his brothers, Vern, Loren, and Anton, many nieces and nephews, and an extended family of friends, who each miss him immensely.

Saying goodbye was hard, Ross. Our lives went back so many decades. Hope to see you on the other side. I'll think of you every time I see Brendan with a good cigar.

Peace to you, dear Ross. You lived without limits in this world and must be having a amazing time in your new one. I hope your flying dreams were good practice.
You and your quick wit are missed every day and I'm so grateful our paths crossed again. You taught so many lessons about living this life to its fullest and overcoming what seem like challenges. Sail on, love.

Ross was a good friend, though our lives rarely crossed paths. He encouraged me to make a subtle, seemingly thin and unimportant change 20 years ago, and that little change led me to know ALL of my current best friends, including his bride Mindy. Thanks, Ross, and thanks for your service, some of which we can't talk about. And, thanks for the leadership and courage you lived in your last 4 years--you done good.
