Ruvolo, Bertha L.
Bertha L. Ruvolo, age 98, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was born in Morarity, NM on November 11, 1918 to Dillman Clay and Louie Mae Kinsell. Bertha married Tony Ruvolo on August 7, 1937. Her family was her life. She was a generous soul and helped those too numerous to count throughout her life. In 1961 she took 7 Cuban teenagers into her home. She also helped guide other young ones on the right path. She became "mom" to many. She excelled as a caregiver for other family members.
Bertha was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Ruvolo, and daughter, Annette File, and is survived by her son, Garry Ruvolo, and daughter, Sandra Lipiz. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren who brought her much happiness. She also has many beloved nephews and nieces and their children. In addition to these blessings she has endeared herself to hundreds of spiritual brothers and sisters over the past 23 years. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Daniel's Family Funeral Services. The viewing will be at 10:00 AM. A memorial service honoring Bertha's life and the hope she held dear will be at 11:00 AM. To view information or leave a condolence, please visit
