Francisco "Pancho" Vital
Francisco Javier Vital, age 65, passed away on February 27, 2018. Born December 4, 1952 in Guadalajara, Mexico, he took pride in his hard work and skill as a roofer for over 40 years. He enjoyed watching futbol and cheering for the Chivas. He was a family man with a generous heart and an impeccable sense of humor. He was the father figure to many. Francisco chose to go through the final stages of cancer at home with his family by his side. "His wings were ready, our hearts were not."
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria; his father, Lucio; and son-in-law, Manny James. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 38 years, Rita; his children, Maria, Amanda, Carlos (Jessica), and his princess, Patricia; a jelly bean and eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Manuel and Flaco (Martina); numerous nieces and nephews; and adopted kids.
Rosary to be held on March 5, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Bernadette's Church, 11509 Indian School Rd. NE, with a mass at 9:00 am. Burial will take place afterward at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE. Reception at 2:00 pm at his home, contact Amanda at 917-8834. Please visit
