Flores-Gallegos, Frances
Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Frances Flores-Gallegos, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM.
She was born May, 11, 1918 in Villanueva, NM, where she spent most of her childhood years. Frances, her parents and her younger siblings eventually moved from Villanueva to Pueblo, Colorado. She lived in Pueblo most of her young adult life, where she worked and helped raise her younger siblings. Her marriage to Fortunato Gallegos, a war veteran retuning home after the end of the Second World War, would take her back to Villanueva.
Frances was very much loved by all who knew her. Her humility was what made her so special. Frances was greatly admired for her kindness, generosity, and caring personality. Her home was always open to relatives and friends. She always made time to prepare humble, yet very delicious meals for visiting guests.
She was a dedicated member of the Sacred Heart Society and an active parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Villanueva. She participated in the numerous activities sponsored by the parish. Frances was very faithful to her family, her church and her Savior Jesus Christ. She will dearly be missed.
She is survived by her three sons, Richard Eugene and Anthony (Gary) Gerard, whom reside in Albuquerque, and Charles Edwin Gallegos whom resides in Las Cruces, NM; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
