Oliver, Ida Anthony
Ida Anthony Oliver a resident of Belen went to be with our Lord on October 2, 2016.
Ida was born May 4, 1929 in Belen, NM, she attended Belen High School and graduated in 1947. Ida attended secretarial school and was employed by the Belen Schools. While at the Belen Schools, she met the love of her life, Glenn W Oliver and they married on June 6, 1953. She continued to be an active part of her community up until her death. She served on the Belen City Council for 10 years. She worked along side her husband at the Belen Food Pantry and was a very active member of St. Philips Episcopal Church in Rio Communities. She was a life long member of Beta Sigma Phi and loved her sorority sisters.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Crawford "Tony" and Nella Anthony and her husband, Glenn Oliver.
Her daughter, Robyn Oliver of Roseville, MN, and many beloved family and friends survive her.
A memorial service celebrating Ida's life will be held at Saturday, October 8th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Rio Communities. In honor of Ida please wear red or purple or any bright color. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to St. Philip's Episcopal Church or the charity of your choice.
