Marie B. (Beatriz) Castillo
Marie B. (Beatriz) Castillo, 92 years old, passed away gently surrounded by her family on November 17, 2017. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 5, 1925.
She was preceded in death by her parents Amarante and Josefina Castillo; brothers Tobias N. Castillo and Johnny Castillo; sisters Laura Chavez (Leo) and Emily Carrillo (Ray). She is survived by her sister Lena Zeve (Bernard); her beloved daughter Veronica C. GarcÃa and son-in-law Michael Wilson; adoring grandchildren Jacqueline M. Garcia (Evan Small) and Jason P. Marie was devoted to Christ and Our Blessed Mother, active in the Catholic Church, and a member of the Eucharistic Society. She spent several hours a day dedicated to prayer and especially praying for others. She was a fiercely independent woman, ahead of her time, and her life was an example of strength, persistence, and resiliency. Her love of family, quick wit, and sharp intellect will not be forgotten. Though of humble means, she made an effort to give generously to family, friends, and many charities. The family wishes to express their gratitude for her caretakers and especially Jasmine Gonzalez. Beloved Mother and Grammy, rest with God, the Angels, and Saints our precious Reina.
