Duran, Pauline Dixon



Pauline Dixon Duran, age 77, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, beloved wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016, from end stage renal disease.

Pauline, daughter of Tom Dixon and Aurelia Pettigrew Dixon, was born on March 08,1939, at Rehoboth, New Mexico. Raised in the the Southwest and living in both in Arizona and New Mexico and finally settling in Rio Rancho, NM.

She loved horses, painting with oil on canvas, and crocheting items for the church and family. She was a retired librarian and a Master Gardner. She was a devoted catholic and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John P. Duran; son and daughter in law, Edward Thomas and Catherine Elizabeth Duran; son, John Paul Duran, daughter, Audrey Michelle Duran; son, Michael Thomas Duran; grandson, Jonathan Duran; granddaughter, Ekaterina Duran; and granddaughter, Iridessa Duran.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico. A rosary will be held prior to the service at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to St. Felix Pantry, 4020 Barbara Loop SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124, (505) 891-8075. A private burial will be held at a later date by the family.
