Alan Hudson Obituary
Alan Hudson was born in Dublin, Ireland, on April 27, 1946, and died in Albuquerque on January 2, 2018. He had been in poor health for some time.
He was a fluent speaker of Irish and Welsh, had a notable career as a professor of linguistics at UNM, and appeared in more than 50 plays in Albuquerque, over a period of 20 years.
Alan is survived by his brother, Terry, in Dublin, and by his many friends in this country. Those of us who knew him mourn the loss of his friendship and the passing of a remarkable man.

Alan was a friend and theater colleague for whom I had a great deal of respect and admiration. We shared the stage in a local theater production in December of 2016 and he also worked with me as a dialect coach during the Southwest Irish Theatre Festival of which he was a co-founder. A generous and kind man who will be deeply missed.
