Anthony Thomas Lovette Obituary
Lovette, Anthony "Tony" Thomas

Anthony "Tony" passed away on April 11, 2016 in Albuquerque.

He is survived by his sister, Lynn Nevarez of Algodones, NM and his brother, Christopher (Ruth) Lovette of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by his sons, Kevin Lovette of Okland, CA., Todd Lovette of Albuquerque and Brett (Adria) Lovette of Albuquerque. He is also survived by five grandsons, Tyler, Evan, John, Stephan and William, and three nieces, Melissa, Kirsten and Astrid. Additionally, he leaves his adopted family, staff and friends, at UNM Hospital Cardiac Rehab. Center.

He was preceded in death by a fourth son, John "J.T." (Katie) of Encinitas, CA.

Anthony was a life long lover of books, who devoted his life to education and the creative process, both personally and professionally. As educator, artist, fine art photographer, writer, and world traveler, his interest in people and his curiosity about everything endeared him to all those who knew him. His generosity and eagerness to share knew few boundaries. He will be sorely missed by all those that he touched.

Anthony's final request was that he could continue teaching beyond his death, which led to the donation of his remains to The Maxwell Museum of Anthropology at The University of New Mexico, to be used for research and education for decades to come. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Maxwell Museum of Anthropology, University of New Mexico, 500 University NE Bldg.11, MSC01-1050, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87131-0001, Attn. Dr. Heather J.H. Edgar, Curator of Human Osteology.
