Krelle, Arthur

Arthur Krelle, 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 with family by his side.

He is survived by his wife, Connie and their children Jemi Krelle, Barbara Allen, Brendan (Camile) Krelle, Kayla Kriegh, Richard ( Laurie) Kriegh and granddaughter Makenna Krelle.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and sisters Edith and Elsien. Arthur left his homeland, Germany, after WWII to follow his dreams. In the UK he studied and perfected the art of sculpture and photo engraving. Later moving to Canada, he worked in the newspaper industry as a photo engraver. His dream to be an American was granted when he immigrated to the US in 1960 as a photo engraver, sculptor and jeweler. When the industry of engraving photos met technology, Arthur employed his considerable skill in design and engineering for the next 40 years. In 1986 he and his beloved wife moved to Albuquerque. All the while, he gave life to another dream, building and flying gliders. Those who knew Arthur would say he was good natured and generous, witty, full of life, laughter and joy. He loved his family deeply and his friends and flying his gliders. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Sat., Feb. 4th, 2017, 11am, at Sandia Presbyterian Church, Albuquerque. Reception will follow at the church. Cremation has taken place in the care of Neptune Society.
