Arthur Johnny Vanlandingham

Arthur Johnny Vanlandingham, age 93, died November 10, 2017 at his home at the Montebello in Albuquerque, NM. Early in life, he was a soldier on the "Island of Iwo Jima", during the war with Japan. It was a brutal war with the loss of lives among American soldiers. When the war was won by the Americans, they raised our flag to signal to us that our troops had won the war.

Arthur owned 'Van's Midtown Volvo' in Albuquerque with his wife, Millie. After retirement, they traveled to several different and interesting countries around the world, including Australia and New Zealand, where they made new friends and shopped for clothing, etc. Besides his wife, he leaves behind two sons, Kurt and Timothy Vanlandingham, now men in their 60's. Father is very much missed.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017, 2:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services- Wyoming Chapel. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
