Vincent, Arthur William

Arthur William Vincent died peacefully on Thursday, July 27, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. Born in San Bernardino, CA on Jan. 4, 1958 to Arthur Thomas and Veronica Boyce Vincent, he attended Holy Rosary Catholic School and St.Thomas Aquinas High School. Art earned a B.A. in Studio Art from the Univ. of Calif, Riverside and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from Arizona State University. He was a photography instructor at Mesa Community College in Arizona as well as a prolific artist, creating landscape photos and figurative drawings and paintings. In Albuquerque, Art found genuine happiness and formed lasting friendships during his 27-year career at Costco. Art was a devoted husband and father whose joy for living continues to inspire his wife, sons, relatives, and many friends. He was a kind and sensitive soul, with a keen sense of humor and a Buddhist's commitment to living a compassionate life.

He is survived by his wife Penny Vincent; sons Evan Thomas Vincent (Maggie) and Keenan Oren Vincent; siblings Tom Vincent (Peggy), John Vincent (Julie), and Liz Spillner (Justus) of California; brother-in-law George Govier (Gretchen) of Arizona, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Art's open heart and generous spirit will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Art's life at an Open House showing of his artwork on Monday, September 4, 2017 from 12-3 pm at the historic Old San Ysidro Church in the Village of Corrales, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers, please donate to those in need.
