Benjamin Roscoe, age 84, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016. Ben served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as an Intelligence Officer. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, had a career at Sandia National Laboratories, and wrote professional papers which were published in Journal of Defense and Research, IEEE, and presented at Nuclear Power Plant Safety Symposiums. Ben remained involved with his professional interest in nuclear power plant safety and military weapons systems throughout his life. He was an entrepreneur, owning and managing many different properties in the Albuquerque area. He was a member of the Jr. Chamber of Commerce in Baltimore, MD, member of American Racing Pigeon Union and International Federation of American Homing Pigeon Fanciers, INC, and Vice President of Triana Condominiums, San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. One of his many interests was owning and racing thoroughbreds and quarter horses. He enjoyed raising beautiful white homing pigeons and created his own strain of the lovely birds called "Via Blanco." He put a lot of time and effort into gardening and created a beautiful haven in his back yard.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Geraldine, and they visited and explored every continent, also spending a great deal of their time at their home in San Carlos, Mexico. His happiest times were spent with his family. He was a beloved parent and a wonderful grandparent to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His generosity touched many lives.
