Betsy Truby Obituary
Truby, Betsy

Betsy peacefully passed away on July 29th, 2016.

She was born in Albuquerque in 1954 to Oscar and Hope Blueher. Her siblings were Gary and Joe Blueher, her two older brothers.

Throughout her childhood, she loved horseback riding and trips into the back country with her family. She attended Sandia Girl's School in Albuquerque, and Minlo College in San Francisco. After college, she worked as a receptionist for her dad's business, Blueher Lumber Company, where she enjoyed working with people.

While Betsy was in middle school, she met her future husband, Scott Truby, for the first time at church. Long after meeting, she married Scott in 1983 and was happily married for 33 years. She was a loving wife who cherished time with her husband, and family.

She enjoyed picnics in the mountains with Scott and their dogs. Betsy looked forward to her and Scott's annual vacations; some of her favorite places to go were Coronado Island in San Diego, and Hawaii. She loved fishing at Navajo Lake, and was very talented at needlepoint.

She will always be remembered as a kind, generous person, and will be greatly missed by her family.

Memorial Services will be help at First Presbyterian Church (215 Locust St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102) on August 4th 2016 at 11:00 am, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church, or Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation (PO Box 26666 Albuquerque, NM 87125, Phone: 505-724-6580).
