Betty M. Vortman

Betty M. Vortman, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died November 23, 2018, at age 96. A graduate of

Northeast MO University, she taught in high schools in Missouri and Illinois. She worked at Albuquerque

National/Sunwest Bank (now Bank of America) for 37 years, retiring as Senior Vice President. Betty was an Honorary Life Member of the Board of Managers of the School for Advanced research in Santa Fe. She was predeceased by her husband, Luke J., after 63 years of marriage. At her request, there will be no services. Should friends wish, memorial contributions may be made to La Vida Llena Retirement Community,

Betty was my first cousin I e-mailed her often, talked with her on the phone, and visited her from Florida three times. I will miss her...her Mom and my Dad were sister and brother.
