Blaine Conlin Sant, 76, resident of Albuquerque NM, passed away in his home on May 24, 2016. Blaine was born on May 20, 1940 in Grace, Idaho. Blaine was raised in the Ogden, Utah area where he graduated from Ben Lomond High School and attended Weber State University. In March of 1964 Blaine married his beloved wife Kay.

Blaine and Kay raised their four children in Albuquerque, NM. He was a machinist with General Electric Aircraft Engines for 23 years. In his early years Blaine enjoyed racing; later his interests turned to photography, fishing, working with the Boy Scouts of America and being politically active. However, his favorite past time was being an avid balloonist alongside his wife. They were both active members of AAAA. For many years Blaine served as a Zebra at the International Balloon Fiesta. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints and enjoyed serving in his ward and at the Albuquerque Temple. He loved being with his family whether on vacation or just playing card or board games, he loved being with his grandchildren. Blaine loved to tell stories to anyone who would listen and when he didn't have a story he would gladly make one up.

Blaine was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Kay Sant; his parents, Orson and Chloe; two sisters; and one brother.

He is survived by his four children Russell, Bret (Debbie), Lindy (Matt) Hatch, Chris (Kimberly); seven grandchildren, Brian, Jacob, Jayson, Miranda, Tyler, JJ, and Nathan; sister Lois (Larry) Bachman; brother Denis (Mary); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on June 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Eubank LDS Chapel, 4109 Eubank Blvd NE ABQ, NM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the .
