Bobby Walcott, affectionately known as "Grandad,"

passed away on Sunday January 29, 2017 at the age of 91. He is preceded in death by his wife of over fifty years, Annie Ruth. Bob is survived by his five children Betty, Becky/Bobbie, Ben, Bari, Barbara, and his ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Bobby was born in Dexter, New Mexico on October 25, 1925, the son of Charles and Mahauta Walcott. He was the sixth of 10 children, five brothers and four sisters. He grew up in the small town of Vega in the panhandle of Texas. He served in the United States Navy during World War II on a Destroyer Tender called the U.S.S. Piedmont. Bob proudly and successfully made a career in the title business for over forty years. As owner/president of National Title Company, Bobby was the first agent for Stewart Title Guaranty Company outside of the state of Texas. He served as a President of the New Mexico Land Title Association. He and his wife Ruth raised their five children in Albuquerque.

He was a person of honest opinion and integrity who cared deeply for his family and friends. He was passionate about spending time with his loved ones (especially his great grandkids), as well as bird hunting and making frequent trips to his cabin in the Jemez Mountains. He was loved by many and loved many in return.
